The island of Spetses, in the Saronic Gulf, is an important historical port for commerce for boats in Greece and the Mediterranean. The new port of Spetses is called Dapia by the locals and is the nerve center of the island. Ermioni is in the south of the Peloponnese peninsula and has an important history which is evident in every corner of the town.
