Golfo Aranci is a really interesting town on the northern coast of Sardinia. It owes its name to misinterpretation, as it is said that in the 20th century some cartographers understood the name as 'Gulfu di li Ranci', ie 'Gulf of the Crabs', therefore it became Golfo Aranci.
