Guide of Arbatax

Arbatax, on the east coast of Sardinia, is a popular port city.

Historical sites 

Since the Middle Ages this stretch of coast has been an important place for connections and commercial exchanges with the port of Cagliari. Its name is derived from Arabic, from the word arba'at 'ashar, meaning fourteen lights, which are the lights spotted from the towers around the island from sea.

Places to visit

Rocce Rosse is a natural beautiful bay where red granite rocks stand out against the white rocks and are reflected in the emerald green waters. There is an important international music festival held on the island every year.  Bellavista, is a natural park near Arbatax and is very captivating place to take with the little ones as there are various animals, plants and trees from Sardinia to explore.

Beaches 

Cala Moresca is a beach that takes its name from the Saracen pirates raids, it has clear sea, granite rocks, golden sand and dense vegetation. A few kilometers from Arbatax, there is the Lido di Orrì a long coastline full of wild beaches and coves, including Cala Ginepro. The beach called Cea appears to be a tropical paradise and San Gemiliano is not to be missed.
